"This is the third year for the Demco School Library Planner and it is the best yet! Demco listens to librarians to see what they need/want from a planner. This year the cover is thick and sturdy and it includes tabs too! As an added bonus, the tabs are re-positional should you need to make adjustments, like I did.There are even 5 blank tabs that you can attach to quickly reference what is most important to you. By keeping track of all things library and taking only 10 seconds to write down things like, collaborations, bulletin boards, makerspace activities, programing offered, new books added, number of books circulated, etc. I am able to create my library reports for admin in a fraction of the time and with much more complete data. When asked how much money I spent, I went right to the budget page and had the total immediately for my principal. When calling a vendor, no need to search around for the number, the info is all on the vendor page where I also write down other important numbers, such as those for other librarians in the district. I am not in a fixed schedule, but I believe it would be even more helpful for those who are and are lesson planning regularly. You might say to yourself, ‘But other planners do that too.’ This is what other planners DON’T… they don’t have tips from 50+ librarians, sorted by category, to help you when you’re stuck. They don’t help you with book fairs, grant writing, curriculum mapping, and book request logs. AND they were not created by a SUPER librarian for other librarians. Not to mention the reflections, motivation, and monthly event planning. I could go on and on." - Christine Rosa
"I've used standard printed planners, digital planners, and now this specific library planner, and by far this exceeds everything else I've used. Each year this planner improves based on user feedback solicited by the creator. I love that I have space to customize the pages to what I need (7 blocks a day, data collection area, monthly calendar, specific days to honor, etc.) Each year the planner includes tips and ideas from actual librarians which helps me to expand my library programming. I've added these librarians to my network in order to continue to grow my PLC. My favorite additions this year are the adjustable tabs for easy organization, all the added color throughout, the visual reminder to celebrate my weekly wins, and the weekly reminders to check the tips pages for additional resources.
